I recently accompanied Scott to a conference where Susan Egan (the first Broadway Beauty of Beauty and the Beast) provided the after-dinner entertainment. She sang a medley of songs that had been meaningful in her life. As she sat on a stool, under a circle of light, I heard "Bridge Over Troubled Water" for the first time. I had listened to it many times since the '70s but never got it until that night. Later, Scott agreed: it is the perfect Life Coach's song. It's part of what I am for my clients. And on this day, which holds many painful memories, it's nice to remember: you can relax and someone will be your bridge over troubled water or, you can be someone else's bridge.
I'll meet you in The Coaching Corner next week for Follow this Rule and Your Life Will Improve Immediately.
Warmly,
Dee
Peace be with you.

Bridge Over Troubled Water
When you're weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes,
I will dry them all
I'm on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
When you're down and out
When you're in the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you
I'll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Sail on silver girl
Sail on by
Your time has come to shine
All your dreams are on their way
See how they shine
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
